Technorati - State of the blogosphere report 2009

I would've loved to have more time to look into Technorati's latest report on the state of the blogosphere 2009, and i will do so at a later stage.

However, what interests me the most are as follows:

  • How much has blogging impaced your professional life? I gotta say i mentioned my blog pretty much when i was getting my first job. :)

  • Twiiter compliments blogs rather than take over them. 83% of page views are from Twitter.

  • Trending: Politics and business have the most impact in the blogosphere. While US centric, it'll be interesting to see how our next Singapore elections will affect the local blogosphere buzz.

So although I took a quick look at the report, I really can't take Technorati seriously anymore.

After being absolutely useless for the last 18 months or so, I think it has lost all credibility to tell me about the "state of the blogosphere".

Also, apparently my site and subsequent data aren't there anymore and I'll have to re-register my site, which at this point of time, just isn't worth my effort!

I'll focus on my blog and my community and not really care about what Technorati thinks about my "authority".
